Upon entrance of Driftwood Shores, we were greated by no less than three 5' x 10' signs that read Keep Out - No Entrance - Stay Out - No Turn Around. . . blah blah blah...

When we ignored the warning signs we immediately noticed the very first residential estate at Driftwood Shores (
I promise to take a photo on our next uninvited tour of the estates and post it to the blog) - a 60 f00t single-wide that must have been at least 30 years old. Run down, covered with moldy moss, junked cars the whole works. It was clear to us what the neighborhood was so embarrassed about...
(
OK.. there were several, alright, more than several, better than perfectly situated, water front dream homes once you passed the welcome wagon ((trailer)) and headed down the driveway width road along the shore). ..
But still, I wonder how great your day at the beach is when you spend your entire evening yanking driftwood splinters from your feet. How much driftwood is to much?
Suggestion? Try electronic gates. Although frightening, the ugly signs and the moldy single-wide are not much of a deterrent.
